Democrat Strategist James Carville Expresses Deep Concern Over the 2024 Election: ‘I’m Scared to Death’

Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville recently appeared on MSNBC, where he was asked to share his thoughts on the upcoming 2024 election. Carville did not mince words, admitting that he is “scared to death.”

Carville has been warning Democrats since the summer, becoming one of the earliest prominent figures in the party to suggest that President Joe Biden should step aside from the race.

Now, Carville is pointing to Vice President Kamala Harris, criticizing her for not being aggressive enough. He expressed dissatisfaction with the current direction of the campaign and appeared visibly frustrated.

According to a report from FOX News:

James Carville admits he’s ‘scared to death’ about Election Day

During an appearance on Wednesday, Carville voiced his concerns about the upcoming election and called on Harris to take a more assertive approach in the final weeks before Election Day.

“The only thing I feel is the election is coming Nov. 5th. I’m scared to death,” he told MSNBC’s Ari Melber. “I’m very, very concerned.”

Carville explained that Harris had limited time—around 20 days—to improve her messaging, with Hurricane Milton expected to dominate media coverage in the days ahead.

“They need to be sharp. They need to be aggressive. They need to stop answering questions and start asking questions. They’re doing all this and sitting down with ‘60 Minutes’ and sitting down with Colbert… no matter what, if I come on your show, you will ask me the questions. If I have a press conference, I get to ask the questions,” Carville said.

He emphasized the importance of Harris holding more public events and taking control of the narrative.

Carville’s visible concern about the election may be a welcome sign for Republicans and supporters of Donald Trump. Carville likely wouldn’t be making these public comments unless he felt the situation was dire for Democrats, signaling his efforts to push Harris and the party into action.
